The terrain consists of south-facing slopes that provide excellent sun exposure for grape ripening. Grapes came from select vineyards throughout the Columbia Valley in Eastern Washington, primarily from the Horse Heaven Hills. A great combination of richness and complexity. Flavors of apple and pear jump to flavors of graham cracker. Then finish with notes of rich oak and roasted nuts.

A lustrous pink rosé of Cabernet Franc and Chambourcin with luscious fruit flavors and aroma. Delicately pressed and fermented cool to preserve aromas of raspberries, grapefruit, and a hint of vanilla. Electric acidity, juicy palate, clean finish with lingering ripe strawberry and fresh rosemary. Refreshing and light when served cold but bold enough to pair with a variety of dishes when lightly chilled. Soft cheeses, rich seafood dishes, or herb rubbed poultry will show off the complexity of the wine.
THE REDS
TAVERN, Touriga

Deep ruby color with a nose of fresh rose petals bramble and caramel. Richly sweet but not cloying--this is not a wine reserved for after dinner cheese courses though it would pair nicely with a classic Stilton. Aged two years in oak which transforms the alcohol into a warm and inviting finish. This wine is sturdy enough to evolve the complexity after being open for up to one week; look for the floral notes to transform into berry cobbler.

CAYMUS, Red Schooner Voyage

Grapes for this Malbec are grown in the Andes Mountains of Argentina, then chilled and transported by ocean voyage to Caymus, where we use our winemaking techniques to create a style that is dense, dark and supple. Falling outside standard labeling rules, Red Schooner does not include a vintage date but is known by the voyage from which it traveled (i.e. Voyage 10 is the 2020 vintage). Strikingly smooth, with scents and flavors of dark fruit and fine, textural tannins.

Separated from Napa by just an invisible county line, Suisun Valley (which became an AVA in 1982) is still largely undiscovered. With its warm days and cool nights, this pastoral region reminds us of Napa Valley in the 1960s. Known for delicious stone fruits and walnuts, it is also gaining recognition for exceptional wine. Durif is synonymous with Petite Sirah, the widely grown grape in the region – we added “Grand” to the name for its grand style. With harmonious tannins, this wine is opulent, luxuriously soft and totally enjoyable.

This crowd-pleasing Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful Bordeaux blend, with soft, round tannins and a plush, rich mouthfeel. The wine in its youth is ripe and juicy upfront with aromas of fresh boysenberry, blackberry, and cassis, alongside dark berry fruit notes of fig, black cherry cola, and currants. The warm baking spice notes from the oak-integration work well with the more traditional Knights Valley tones of lavender, wild sage, and mocha. The 2019 vintage is a wine of distinction with a unique profile owing to the seasoned Rum Barrels used in the same tradition as artisan master distillers. The portion of the wine aged in Rum Barrels imparts lovely aromas and notes of baking spice, nutmeg and delicious campfire made smores. The balance of the wine, aged on French and American oak, offers luscious red fruit and boysenberry jam with notes of vanilla. The structure is savory with velvety tannins and a lingering finish.
